We score each breed against your lifestyle inputs — home size, activity level, time at home, budget, experience, kids, and other pets. Each factor is weighted, and breeds are ranked by total fit score. Affiliate revenue never affects the rankings.

How accurate are the cost estimates?

We use real-world ranges for food, vet care, grooming, insurance, and supplies based on the breed's size, coat, and known health risks. Your actual costs will vary by location and lifestyle, but our estimates are designed to set realistic expectations before you adopt.
